Most people know about the beautiful painting by Franz Xavier Winterhalter  of Empress Elisabeth. Of course I had to recreate her according to this painting... I tried to be true to the portrait and sculpted her from polymer clay without the use of molds. She is  5,5 inches high.

Here she is with an image of the  painting. Her dress is made of fine silk and lots of silk tulle. The gold stars are applied by hand.
